Our story
Our roots in tattooing
We grew up in the unique atmosphere of a tattoo parlor: the buzzing of machines, the smell of ink, the needles marking the skin. Our father was a tattoo artist, and from childhood, this universe became ours. We learned to draw, to listen to clients' confidences, to trace each design with respect. But while observing, we also saw something else: hesitations, regrets, the fear of the needle. And a question arose: what if tattoos could be invented differently?
A founding journey
So we decided to leave everything behind. Backpack and sketchbooks in hand, we crossed the Amazon. In the Darién Gap, between Colombia and Panama, we made a significant discovery: local communities used a fruit, the Genipa americana, to adorn their skin. No pain, no machines, just the power of nature. Exactly what we were looking for.
A natural revelation
This fruit does not act like a traditional ink: it gently penetrates the surface layers of the skin and fades away after a few weeks. It is alive, ephemeral, liberating. We worked for months to perfect this formula: to make it stable, pure, 100% vegan, and free from any aggressive ingredients. And because our story begins with drawing, each pattern is designed by us, by hand. Nothing is bought elsewhere: each creation is born in our workshop, with the same care as a permanent tattoo.
Thus INKON was born
INKON is our vision. A tattoo designed for today: it marks, but does not freeze. It gives the freedom to express, to dare, to change. Because for us, getting a tattoo is not a constraint, but a way of being oneself, in motion. Every design you wear is a part of our story and our pencil stroke. And seeing these creations travel on free and confident skins, all over the world, is our greatest pride.
